(Kodiak) – The Alaska Department of Fish and Game will be hosting a preseason meeting on Thursday April 30, at 6 p.m. at the Kodiak Fish and Game office to discuss several important changes for the 2026 sport fishing season. Department staff will be providing updates on the saltwater charter Electronic Logbook (eLogbook), Federal Recreational Quota Entity (RQE) Program, and king salmon, lingcod, and rockfish sport fishing regulations. This public meeting will be focused on topics related to Kodiak saltwater guides and charter boats, but will also provide useful information to all anglers fishing in the Kodiak Area. Kodiak Sport Fish staff, Logbook Program staff, and Alaska State Troopers will be available in person to provide information and answer questions about the upcoming sport fishing season.
The in-person portion of the meeting will be held in the Chiniak Conference, upstairs at the Kodiak Alaska Department of Fish and Game building which is located at 351 Research Court, or you can join online.
