Comments: On September 17, 2025, Beth Evers (ADFG) and I were doing a presence/absence survey in the Johnson River valley with a backpack e-fisher. We observed adult coho salmon spawning at: 60.07551, -152.77632 and 60.07530, -152.77615. We also captured juvenile coho salmon in the drainage (CO @ 49-65 mm). The uppermost point of the survey was 60.07704, -152.77410 (CO @49 mm). The stream splits at this point and coho likely exist higher in the drainage in both forks.
