Comments: While conducting presence/absence fish surveys in the Johnson River drainage, Beth Evers (ADFG) and I captured two large Dolly Varden in spawning condition with a backpack efisher at the point listed above. The DV measured approximately 350 and 325 mm and were paired up. This was in a braided section of the stream which was cutting a new channel through the alders. Dolly Varden have been captured further upstream in this creek. We have a stream course based on LIDAR and can provide that if it is helpful.
