Comments: Chickaloon Village Traditional Council Environmental Stewardship staff Benjamin Americus and Cody Henrikson visited this stream via packraft to observe adult fish during spawning season. We observed 40 sockeye adults and a few carcasses in the silty water slough near the confluence of the Matanuska River (61.714497, -148.810775). This slough was clear-water on our last visit on 7/23/2025. Turbidity in this slough seems to be influenced by stage and lateral migration of the Matanuska River.
